Most members meet the association twice a year: once when dues are collected and once at the annual week. But it runs all year — and the members who engage with it leave with far more than a certificate.
More than dues and events
The association negotiates industry visits, maintains a resource bank, runs tutorial groups for the hardest subjects, and connects members to alumni working across the field. Every one of these is free to paid-up members.
Leadership is a training ground
Serving on a committee — publicity, welfare, organizing — is the cheapest leadership training you will ever get. Employers consistently rank it above GPA differences of a few points. Elections happen every year; committees take volunteers every semester.
The association is not the executives. It is every member who shows up.
If you have paid your dues, you have a seat. Come and use it: the next general meeting is open to every member, and the committees are recruiting now.
