Terms of Service

The portal is how Civil Engineering Students' Association runs its membership: it holds the register, bills and receipts dues, publishes association news, events and galleries, and gives members access to their own record. It is provided for the benefit of the association's members and is not a commercial product sold to you.

You may register an account if you are a member or are eligible to become one. You are responsible for the accuracy of the details you give us, for keeping your password confidential, and for anything done through your account. Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has access to it.

Administrator accounts carry additional powers over other members' records. Those powers are granted by the association's executives, are limited to the holder's office, and every action taken with them is recorded in an audit log.

Dues, levies and their amounts are set by the association, not by this software. Payments are processed by Paystack; completing a payment there creates a receipt in the portal, which anyone can check against its receipt number on the verification page.

A payment that has been received and receipted is a record of the association's finances. Requests for correction or refund — a duplicate payment, an amount charged in error — are decided by the association's executives under the association's own rules; raise them through the contact details on this site.

• Do not use another person’s account, or try to reach records your account is not entitled to see.
• Do not probe, scan or interfere with the security of the site, or attempt to disrupt it for others.
• Do not extract the membership register in bulk, or use anyone’s contact details for unsolicited messages.
• Do not upload content that is unlawful, defamatory, or infringes someone else’s rights, and do not upload photographs of people who have not agreed to appear.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, and may remove content that does.

The association owns or licenses the content it publishes on the site. Content you submit — a profile photograph, a market listing, a message — remains yours, and you give the association permission to store and display it where the feature you used is intended to display it. You confirm you have the right to submit it.

We aim to keep the portal available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service; it may be unavailable during maintenance, or because a third-party service it depends on is down. Features may change, and these terms may be updated — the date at the top of this page moves when they do, and continued use after a change means you accept it.

The portal is provided as it stands. To the extent the law allows, the association is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana, and the courts of Ghana have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
